    Here at Oak Hills, client experience is our top priority, it is the foundation of everything we do here, including the in house services we offer. We have been honored to offer our clients wedding cakes as an in house service for the past three years. Coordinating either picking up or having your cake delivered adds unnecessary stress to your wedding day, not to mention worrying about possible delays from traffic, other stops, or damage during transportation. Why stress about those little details when you can have your cake designed on site by our talented in-house designer and decorator? Our Cake Artist We are delighted to have Jacee with Starlight Cake Co. as our in house cake artist and top preferred wedding cake vendor. She started her cake decorating career as a hobby in 2020, and has been our cake artist since August 2021. Jacee pours her love into every cake she creates here at Oak Hills, creating masterpieces for all of our lovely couples. She specializes in buttercream masterpieces and loves creating custom designs for our events. Her favorite cakes are the fun colorful cakes she gets to be a bit more creative when designing. Cake Design Not sure where to begin in designing your cake? Check out our blog highlighting this year's trending designs! You will meet with our Venue Director for a consultation to plan your wedding or event, where you will discuss your wedding cake design. If further communication is needed after that in designing your dream cake for your dream wedding, Jacee is delighted to chat with you through email to design something custom for your sweet tastes.     Whenever we’re asked to describe ourselves, we always try to emphasize our “Full-Service” approach. But if we’re being honest, a lot of our inquiries come from clients who are first attracted to our beautiful mountain scenery at Oak Hills. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Today, we’re going to brag a little about our customer service philosophy and why it’s made such an impact on the hundreds of weddings we’ve been a part of since 2018. And while this might not be the first on your list of priorities when you’re venue shopping, we definitely think it deserves a moment in the spotlight. What Does Full Service Mean? To start, it’s probably helpful to understand what we mean when we say Full Service. Luckily, we’ve written a great in depth blog about this topic which you can read here: As a brief recap, we mean that we’re here to help Plan, Set Up and Decorate, provide Day of Coordination, Catering, Bar Service, Wedding Cakes, and Florals, as well as clean everything up at the end of the night. Through our years of experience, we’ve realized how critical to the overall success of your wedding day it is that these aspects work seamlessly together. We’re the one-stop shop because it makes things perfect, and way less stressful for you. Our Philosophy So what’s our attitude about weddings and how does it apply to all of these different areas? We never, ever forget that it’s your wedding day. We are super privileged and stay busy with weddings and events all year. On the upside, this makes us the knowledgeable, tried and tested experts you can count on. We really hope you enjoy your job every single day, but hey, we’re all humans right?  We decided long ago that we wouldn’t allow burn-out to interfere with the biggest moments of our happy couples lives.   • Oak Hills Reception and Event Center

    Welcome to our Oak Hills Blog Oak Hills is owned by husband and wife team, Shirelle and Adam Benard, who purchased the venue in 2018. They quickly began assembling a team of talented individuals and created the full-service experience Oak Hills offers today. Thought and care goes into every aspect of the event because we love what we do! Introducing a Full Service Venue We found quickly, that it was very common for couples and their families in Northern Utah to handle the set up, take down, and catering in addition to planning the entire wedding. I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like a lot of pressure and stress. We did not want any of our clients or guests to be stressed while we were hosting their big day. So we decided to update our processes and move towards a Full Service Venue. What Does a Full Service Venue Look Like? Once you have Downloaded our Pricing Brochure, which is located at oakhillsutah.com you will be in contact with Shirelle via text. You'll be able to schedule a time to Tour the Facility and ask any questions you may have. So you have decided to go ahead and book with us? Awesome! You will then be directed to your Coordinator. We will schedule 2 Consultations with you. During these appointments, your very knowledgeable Coordinator will go over your Timeline, Decor, Vendor Choices, Floral, Cake, Catering and any detail or questions you might want our help with. You have Arrived! It is the Big Day! When you get to the venue, you will be greeted by the Day Of Coordinator. They will guide you to the Wedding Suite and Wedding Lounge where we have snacks and water waiting for you to relax and get ready for your event. Any Vendors that you have booked (Photographer, Officiant, Etc.) will also be greeted by the Day of Coordinator to make sure all of the logistics of the day come together perfectly. Your Coordinator will then escort you to your Ceremony. They will make sure that all of your wedding party will be completely informed and confident for the big moment. For the rest of the evening your coordinator will act as master of ceremonies. They will be announcing all of the important events (Grand Entrance, First Dance, Cake Cutting, Etc.) for you and your family can focus on the more intimate moments. Once the event is over fear not, you or your guest are not responsible for any of the clean up. Our staff members will handle all of the clean up and take down. We will make sure that you have been sent home with all of your personal decor like Guest Book and personal Photos. In House Cakes Baked specifically to your Style and Taste. We will provide all of the Catering for you. We have so many amazing options! If you are looking for a Intimate, Formal Plated Dinner. Please choose from our delicious Banquet Menu. If you want a more fun, get up and dance type of reception we got you! The Buffet and Extras Menu is the way to go. If you are having trouble finding a DJ no worries. For every Wedding/Event our Day of Coordinator will make sure that your MC and DJ needs are met. (Grand Entrance, First Dance, Parent Dances, Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss, Send Off, Etc. Your Day of Coordinator will also guide you through your entire wedding day here at Oak Hills. From the moment you arrive through your sendoff. Including your Ceremony, Dinner and Reception. All of your Florals can be done with us. The Main Boquete to all of the Wedding Party Flowers, Ceremony Site Arrangements, Centerpieces and any other florals you can imagine. If you are feeling thirsty, our amazing Bartenders will be able to get you delicious Cocktail, Beer, Wine or Mocktail from our Bar Menu. The Detail oriented Set Up Team will make sure that your wedding is designed beautifully based off of all of your decisions during the consultation process.     Step into the world of Michaeline and Skylar as they invite you to share in their extraordinary day! This wedding was truly one-of-a-kind and filled with inspiration. The energy, love, and the entire atmosphere of the day were simply indescribable. From the very moment the couple made their entrance, it was evident that this celebration was going to be an absolute delight! Getting Ready Words cannot capture the impeccable style of Michaeline and Skylar's entire wedding party. From the initial consultations where the couple expressed their desire for "moody fall wedding vibes," it is safe to say that they not only succeeded but exceeded all expectations. The Ceremony Oh my goodness, what an absolutely enchanting ceremony! Jenn Wilde from Wilde Heart Weddings served as the officiant, and she holds the esteemed position as our number one preferred officiant. She consistently crafts unforgettable experiences for all our couples. Michaeline and Skylar chose a ceremony element that left us in awe – a Red Wine Unity Ceremony. Following their heartfelt vows, they took turns pouring a bit of red wine into a single glass. Taking a sip together, symbolizing their two individual lives merging into one. The act of drinking from the combined wine beautifully signifies the commitment they make to live their lives as one unified family. Newlywed Photos Capturing the magic of Michaeline and Skylar's special day were the incredibly talented Jessica and Nick Photography. Every mesmerizing photo you've witnessed so far is a testament to their skill and artistry. The phenomenal work they produce is truly remarkable. From the vibrant hues of the wedding party's attire to the breathtaking autumnal colors of the Oak Hills grounds, every shot was a visual feast that left us utterly captivated. There was simply no getting enough of the beauty they expertly preserved through their lenses. Party Time! Michaeline and Skylar's circle of family and friends were all set to kick off the celebration. As soon as the Grand Entrance took place, the atmosphere transformed into a lively party scene! The DJs from Complete Weddings, with their exceptional skills, always excel at keeping the energy high and the party in full swing! The Photo Bus Michaeline and Skylar made a fantastic choice by having The Photo Bus for their special day! We've had the pleasure of encountering them numerous times over the years, and without a doubt, they consistently deliver exceptional service. Congratulations to the happy couple! Michaeline and Skylar's Google Review Our wedding was on 10/07 and there are not enough words to express my gratitude towards Oak Hills. The entire process was so easy. They provide everything. Decor. Food. Drinks. Bartenders. A day-of coordinator (shout out Marshall). They were so accommodating to every little detail I wanted. The food (tacos) were SO good and they even packed us up to-go boxes since we didn't have time to eat. The pastry bar was AMAZING and I am so glad we did that instead of a wedding cake!! Made it so much easier for us to eat and dance. My guests had nothing but good things to say about the venue and our wedding. It was even a nice touch for not only myself but my guests hearing the staff talk about how beautiful our wedding was and how nice my groom and I were!! On such a fast paced and stressful day, it really made me feel at peace to hear those things from the staff. Thank you to EVERYONE at Oak Hills who made our day AMAZING.   • In-House Catering: Why it Matters

    When current owners Shirelle and Adam purchased the venue in 2018, they came into a catering system that wasn't much more than excellent bones. Clients at that time were left to coordinate their own catering, with a preferred vendor or two as their only advice. What became obvious right away was the unnecessary stress it added for our couples and their guests. With having to coordinate either the pick up or delivery of the food, making sure they ordered enough, not knowing what exact ingredients are if someone has an allergy, etc. So when 2019 came around, they introduced full service, In-House Catering.
