Here at Oak Hills Reception Center, we're picky about our preferred wedding vendors. Not only are they a reflection of our reception venue, but more importantly, they're major pieces of the puzzle that fit together to make your wedding day amazing. Here's a list of our preferred wedding vendors and why we think you should hire them for your special day!
1. Cake Artists
"Our cakes taste as good as they look," is the motto for this deliciously beautiful cake artist. And I will vouch for that!! The amount of flavors and styles of confections Marcia can make is immeasurable. But you don't have to take my word for it. She has been featured or awarded in all of the following: Aisle Society, Bad Ass Brides, Dream Weddings, KUTV Fresh Living, Rocky Mountain Bride, Satin Ice, Utah Bride and Groom, Utah Love Story, Utah Valley Bride, Utah Valley Bride, Best of 2017 Styled Shoots, Utah Valley Bride’s Top 18 Cakes for 2018, Utah Valley Bride’s Best of 2018 Styled Shoots, Wandering Photographers, Wedding Chicks, and Wed Utah Digital Magazine Cover. WOW!! No question about it, she's your go to gal for your wedding cake!
Pat from Berglund Floral has 20 years of experience designing beautiful floral creations! From the largest bouquet to the smallest boutonniere, you can tell that so much love and effort is put into each one of her designs. After meeting with Pat, clients always walk away knowing that they were well taken care of and that their vision is going to be executed to perfection. Pat has been with us for several years working as both a wedding coordinator and as our preferred florist; therefore, she knows our venue like the back of her hand and can assist you in making the most beautiful floral arrangements. And not only that, but in 2012, Berglund Floral & Wedding Decor was named KSL A-list Winner for the area's best Floral & Wedding Decor Services!
We're fortunate enough to be partnering with the winner of Wedding Wire's 2018 Couples Choice Award Marianne Hunt as another one of our preferred florists. In her own words, "Nature consists of unique, one of a kind, and stunningly beautiful creations…people are the same. Each one is unique and has a style all their own. Marianne at mille fleur design creates one-of-a kind floral compositions for each of life’s experiences. More than just stunning florals, mille fleur design also provides wedding and event planning and design services. Bridal bouquets, corsages, flower crowns, arches, centerpieces, wedding cake florals, and floral arrangements that span the creative spectrum from classic to casual, corporate to BoHo, fantasy to contemporary, mountainside to beachside." Her creations are breathtaking (as you can see from the photo above), and you know you'll be getting a unique experience when booking with her.
According to the Breezy Floral website, "Breezy has become known for her larger-than-life weddings and events, and will create your day into the perfect master piece that you have always imagined." Her unique take on floral arrangements is refreshing and absolutely stunning. You might have even seen her amazing work for Utah Valley Bride. She's beyond talented and we are beyond happy to have her with us on our team!
This husband/wife photography duo is one couple that it's one thing to see their gorgeous photos (they've been featured and given awards by Wedding Chicks, Utah Bride & Groom, Rocky Mountain Bride, Utah Valley Bride & more!), but then it's a whole other to meet them in person. They are fun, happy, energetic and just all around good people! Here's what they have to say about their Utah photography business...
"Wedding days are meant to be fun and unforgettable, and portrait sessions are meant to be cherished. When you find the right photographer for you, your personalities should click as if you were making new friends! We love hanging out with our couples, clients, and their families and friends. Being chosen to serve you and capture some of the most important moments of your life is an honor that we take seriously, but also have a blast experiencing!"
