Oak Hills Highlight: Jill & Scott's Wedding Ceremony & Dinner

It was the end of the evening, the party was over, and all the guests were lined up in the parking lot with eager anticipation of the grand send off.

This particular send off was the perfect ending to the perfect wedding. It was well thought out. It was a reflection of who they are as a couple. And it was definitely EPIC to say the least!.....

.... Jill and Scott had grand plans of riding off on their Harley Davidson through a tunnel of sparklers!

"Our sparkler send off was epic!!! We left on our Harley and everyone loved it. But most of all we loved it!!!!" said the bride Jill, describing her send off with her new husband Scott.

When it comes to send offs, this one took the cake! Their amazing photographer Parker from Pure Light Photography captured this moment perfectly!

The looks on Jill and Scott's faces driving through a tunnel of sparklers held by their cheering family and friends gave me goose bumps from head to toe! It was such a special moment that the staff at Oak Hills Reception and Event Center will never forget.

We could not have been more honored to host Jill and Scott's summer wedding this past July. We got to witness first hand, an epic love story between these two amazing individuals. The moment they sat down at their first consultation with us we immediately grew to love this couple. Jill was a ball of energy, gitty to be marrying the man of her dreams. And Scott was as cool as a cucumber, going with the flow as his future wife excitedly planned the celebration of merging their two lives together.

When asking Jill what her favorite memory of their wedding was, she proudly pronounced, "The wedding ceremony and processional!!!"

We definitely agree that this moment was beautiful. Jill and Scott were blending two families together and made sure that their children and grandchildren were highlighted and recognized during their wedding. It gave us goosebumps watching this close knit family walk down the aisle.

Our favorite part of the ceremony was when their grandson surprised Jill with some homemade hearts that the rest of the grand kids had made. It melted our hearts!

And let's not forget to mention that epic bum grab Jill had perfected! Haha!!

After their ceremony, to celebrate this special day, Jill and Scott chose to have a full service dinner for all 180 of their guests. The event turned out perfect. The table settings were gorgeous, the barn was uniquely decorated with pops of bright blue decor and yellow sunflowers, the service was on point and efficient, and the the guests laughed, cried and and had the time of their lives giving toasts and heart felt speeches.

If Jill could give any advise to a bride-to-be, she would say, "Use Oak Hills Reception and Event Center so you don’t have to be stressed about anything. They took care of all the details so Scott and I could enjoy every moment!!!"

She also went on to say, "Alicia W. was my wedding coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful. Many of our guests commented on how efficient and kind she was. She kept the night on target and was a joy to work with. Highly recommend her!!!!" (Thank you Jill :) That makes our hearts happy to have such high praise from you. And you're right, Alicia W. is an amazing Event Manager. We're lucky to have her on board).

The love they had for one another was infectious, and again, we were beyond honored to have been given the opportunity to not only host this special day for Jill and Scott, but to have gotten to know these two amazing individuals. We foresee a long happy marriage between these two! Congratulations!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

The venue was gorgeous and hosted one of the best weddings I've seen. The bridal room is gorgeous! The staff was amazing. From keeping all the bridesmaids and groomsmen in check (sorry we were a rowdy bunch!) To making sure everything was always clean and the guests were always served. The staff also wore masks (and gloves when necessary). Absolutely beautiful venue and great staff!
